Ingalls Memorial Hospital

The Section of Ingalls Memorial Hospital serves the Harvey, IL community from the historic UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital (UCM IMH). The partnership between IMH and UChicago Medicine allows us to bring expert Women’s Healthcare directly to Harvey. To meet the growing need for women’s health services, particularly perinatal and high-risk pregnancy care, UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital has expanded its OB/GYN services into a new clinic space in December 2025 in the Professional Building of Ingalls Memorial. The new area will include six exam rooms including a dedicated procedure room.

We launched our new clinic with general OB/GYN services, including cervical cancer screening and prevention, contraception and sexual health, menopause care and treatment for fibroids and menstrual concerns, along with minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for complex conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts, as well as maternal-fetal medicine clinics. Additional subspecialties like gynecologic oncology and Complex Family Planning will launch in 2026.

Many of the Ingalls physicians have long-standing roots in the community, having served patients at UCM IMH and local FQHCs for many years. Jamie Horn, MD, serves as Chair and Medical Director of the Family Birth Center in Harvey. Our general obstetricians and gynecologists include David Goodyear, MD, Aishat Adebisi, MD, Jameela Media, MD, MPH, Obioma Oparanozie, MD, Shanice Robinson, MD, Zhana Smith, MD, Biren Shah, MD, Anjali Thukhral, MD, Jacqueline White, MD and Andrea Loberg, MD. Bridget Huysman, MD, MPH provides high-risk pregnancy care through our maternal-fetal medicine section, bringing much-needed expertise to an area with limited access to specialized high-risk services. Hannah Ryles, MD is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who treats uterine fibroids, endometriosis, adnexal masses, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and more, offering laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic surgical options. Han Cun, MD, will begin offering GYN Oncology services at Ingalls Memorial in March of 2026.

Ingalls Memorial prioritized accepting all Managed Care Organization (MCO) Medicaid types in order to provide the broadest access to care to all patients.

"Our community outreach efforts and Community Benefit Report identified a need for more women’s health care services in this area. Specifically, this area has limited access to prenatal care, complex gynecologic care and high-risk pregnancy care. Our community clinicians have asked for access to subspecialty OB/GYN care both for complex pregnancies and complex surgical needs. Our patients have been traveling long distances for the services that we are planning to bring close to home on the Ingalls Campus," said Dr. Andrea Loberg, Chief of Ingalls Memorial Hospital OB/GYN.
